Description of Project:
The road map aims to assess and enhance the capabilities of the Hydrometeorological Service of Uzbekistan (Uzhydromet) in providing weather, climate, and hydrological information and services to meet the needs of various stakeholders. It identifies gaps and challenges in current services and proposes strategies for improvement. The road map outlines scenarios for modernizing Uzhydromet over short, intermediate, and long-term periods, with a focus on enhancing service delivery, institutional strengthening, capacity building, and modernizing observation networks and forecasting systems. The ultimate goal is to improve public safety, protect livelihoods and properties, attract investors, and safeguard economic investments in Uzbekistan. |
