The 1st Uzbek–German University Forum took place on 18 November 2025 at the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Berlin, bringing together universities, research institutions, and industry partners from both countries. The forum provided a platform to strengthen academic cooperation, foster scientific collaboration, and build new international partnerships.

During the event, Innovative Water and Environmental Solutions (IWES)—represented by Acting Director Ms. Feruza Gafurova—signed three Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with leading universities of Uzbekistan:

  1. Fergana State Technical University, represented by Rector Prof. Dr. Salomov Uktam Rahimovich
  2. Andijan Institute of Agriculture and Agrotechnologies, represented by Rector Prof. Dr. Sultanov Tahirjon Zakirovich
  3. Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology, represented by Prof. Dr. Zebo Babakhanova, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation

These agreements mark the beginning of long-term collaboration aimed at enhancing academic exchange, promoting scientific innovation, and supporting the development of high-quality education and research.

Key Areas of Cooperation

  • Joint scientific research projects and capacity-building initiatives
  • Co-organization of international conferences, workshops, and academic forums
  • Academic mobility programs for students, researchers, and teaching staff
  • Development of joint training programs and expert exchange
  • Collaboration on educational materials and shared academic resources

The signing of these MoUs demonstrates the shared commitment of IWES and its partner universities to expand Uzbek–German cooperation, advance scientific excellence, and create meaningful opportunities for innovation and talent development.
