About Us:

IWES (Innovative Water and Environmental Solutions) is a young international company founded in June 2019. As a team of scientists, we utilize innovative methods, data, and tools to better understand our environment and address emerging issues related to the environment and climate change. We collaborate with international institutions such as the World Bank, USAID, GIZ, and consulting firms in the fields of climate impact assessment, disaster risk reduction (DRR), capacity building in GIS, remote sensing, and hydrology.

Requirements:

Completed university degree (master’s or PhD) in Hydrology, Environmental Sciences, Geosciences, or a related field.

Experience in the application of R and Fortran for hydrological modeling and analysis.

Experience in international projects is advantageous.

Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret and communicate complex data effectively.

Fluent in English (written and spoken); knowledge of German is advantageous.

 

Responsibilities:

Conducting hydrological studies and analyses related to projects in Central Asia.

Development and implementation of hydrological models using R and Fortran.

Evaluation of water resources and analysis of hydrological data to identify trends and patterns.

Conducting field studies and data collection as part of hydrological projects.

Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to integrate hydrological aspects into broader environmental and climate projects.

Writing scientific articles and reports on the results of projects and the applied methodology.
